2010 GOALS & OBJECTIVES
OF HOLY FAMILY CHURCH

The 2010 Pastoral Council determined these goals to be valuable for the betterment of the Holy Family Catholic Church and its service to the parish community. Listed for each goal are Pastoral Council members that focus their Council efforts in support those goals. Where appropriate, also listed are parish staff or volunteers (as indicated) who play a key role in fulfilling the goals.


HOLY FAMILY MISSION STATEMENT
To hold and teach the Catholic faith, that comes to us from the apostles, by following the loving example of the Holy Family.

HOLY FAMILY GOALS

EXPAND PARISH EVANGELIZATION EFFORTS

We are engaged in lifelong workshop, education and service.


COMMUNICATION

We communicate with our parishioners and non-parishioners through a variety of media.


STEWARDSHIP

We develop the resources and are worthy stewards of our community's benevolence.

SOCIAL JUSTICE

We live our liturgy and serve those in need without regard to their religious affiliation.


FAMILIES

We foster family faith formation.

2010 HOLY FAMILY OBJECTIVES

Evangelization and Re-evangelization

E 1: We celebrate our faith with joy through vibrant, prayerful worship and faithful participation in the Sacraments, especially Eucharist.

E 2: Our active practicing parishioners increase their participation in our many ministries and committees.

E 3: Our registered parishioners attend Mass on a regular basis.

E 4: We will reach out to our registered parishioners/catholic neighbors to show our spiritual caring and solidarity.

Communication

C 1: Our Web site will be a valuable source of parish information.

C 2: We will create a Facebook group to enhance communication with parish members, including use by parish ministries and youth groups.

Stewardship


S 1: We will establish an endowment.

S 2: We will establish a Facility Use Committee to ensure its use is consistent with the parish mission.

Social Justice

SJ 1: We give our time and talents for charity; caring for those in need.

SJ 2: We defent the culture of life and actively support efforts on behalf of the less fortunate and exploited.

Stewardship

F 1: We strengthen the family by increasing the religious involvement of children, teens and adults through core family faith practices.

F 2: The curriculum of religious education is faithful to the teaching authority of the church.

F 3: We will have a Vocations Awareness Program to support vocations.
