Lent, 2012, Holy Family Church,"Remembering Our Faith"

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

On Ash Wednesday (Feb, 22) we begin Lent.  During Lent, to prepare for EASTER, we spend forty days taking extra time to pray, fast and give to the poor.  Please remember, on Ash Wednesday / the first weekend of Lent:

1. To pick up a Lenten Book for Adults with reflections,
2. To pick up a Lenten Book for children,
3. To pick up a wooden "coin" with the image above on one side, and
the following prayer on the other side: "I CARRY A CROSS IN MY POCKET
REMINDING ME THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE LORD OF MY LIFE IF ONLY I'LL LET HIM BE."

Please click on Lenten events to see how to grow in faith at Holy
Family during the next forty days.  Let us REMEMBER OUR FAITH this Lent!!

 A Few Overall Thoughts

On the first weekend of Adent, 2011 (Nov. 26-27) there will be some changes in the Mass.  These changes are based on tryiing to have the most similar wording in the liturgy, from language to language around the world.
