YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY

(Please scroll down to view all planned activities)

ALL EVENTS OFF CAMPUS REQUIRE AN ARCHDIOCESAN PERMISSION FORM. THE FORM CAN BE DOWNLOADED ON THE WEBSITE. HANDWRITTEN PERMISSION LETTERS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.

YOUTH MASS: has been changed. It will no longer be held on the second or third Sunday of the month at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Instead, a "Youth Led Family Mass" will be held (see the bulletin). We celebrate Mass and receive the Eucharist. The youth take full participation during the Mass. The music is provided by the youth choir, For Your Inspiration (FYI).

Come and join with us and bring your friends for a spiritual experience.

GOD'S YOUTH MINISTRY (G.Y.M.): This is our High School Youth Group. G.Y.M. meets on the first and third Sundays of the month. Our theme is "Exercise Youth Spirit," and we do just that. We meet in the Social Hall from 8:00 to 9:00 PM for Bible Scripture study, planning and fellowship. Anyone in the ninth through twelfth grade is welcome to attend any of our meetings.

JESUS AND ME, (J.A.M.): This is our Middle School Youth Group. J.A.M. meets on the second and fourth Sundays of the month in the Social Hall from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Our meetings consist of Scripture Study, planning and fellowship. Our theme is: "Come Listen to the Rhythm of Jesus' Word." Our meetings are open to all students in the 6th through 8th grades.

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY: This ministry consists of young adults from ages 18 to 35. We are presently in the planning stages of this program. If you are interested in this program and would like to have some input in planning upcoming events, please contact John Lantier at 410-867-1503.

February Youth Ministry Events

February 22, 2008 Youth Ministry is hosting the soup and bread dinner. Volunteers should arrive around 5:30pm. Dinner is served from 6:30-7:30pm and then we clean up. This is nowhere near as much work as the pancake supper and we should be done by 8pm.

February 24, 2008 11:00am YOUTH MASS in the Chapel with Father Barr. Please encourage your kids to attend this. This is a great opportunity for them to come together as a faith community, to get to know Father Barr better, and experience the Mass in a more personal setting. It's also a great way for them to take responsibility for their own faith. It is open to their families and friends, with the understanding that it is geared for the teens. Our goal has been/is to have at least 25 kids attend to justify keeping this Mass going. Please help to keep it going!!

March Youth Ministry Events

March 2, 2008 Next GYM meeting rom 8-9pm in Classroom 3. Pizza and discussion on witchcraft/horoscipes/opccult.

March 15, 2008 Youth and young adult pilgrimage in Baltimore. AWESOME all day/evening event. Please see Archdiocesan website, www.archbalt.org for schedule and events for the day. Registration forms and fee of $20 due to Tammy by February 27th. Place checks, payable to Holy Family Church, in the orange youth ministry box on the baker's rack in the narthex.

10th TO 12th GRADE RELIGIOUS EDUCATION: For details about our 10th to 12th grade religious education program, click here to go to the Religious Education Page.

If you are not receiving the monthly email from Anne about the Youth Mass, please send your email address to her at churchlady22@verizon.net and she will add you to the list. Thanks. This saves the parish postage by avoiding extra mailings.

As always, we thank you in advance for all of your support for the Youth of our parish.
