Family Adoration Hour

We have one hour reserved for family Adoration one Sunday a month, from 10-11 am. 

Come for 15 minutes or all 60 with your children.

What is Family Adoration?

​When we come together at Mass, we keep Jesus as our focus – especially His Real Presence in the Communion Eucharist. In this same spirit of unity with Jesus and each other, we hope to bring families together around Jesus in the Eucharist for a time of Adoration and peace. remember, faith begins in the family and occasionally, we need an opportunity to step away from all the soccer practices, ballet routines, study sessions and busy workdays to enter a place of mercy and peace.

What happens at Family Holy Hour?
There’s no particular time you must arrive, as we understand the busyness of family life; please come and go any time in that hour. Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist will be exposed in a monstrance, and He will be present for you as long as you can stay. We will have some quiet time for personal prayer and occasionally have praise and worship music playing as we sit before the Lord.

What if my children are very young or active?
You are never too young to have a real encounter with God’s love. Everyone is welcome to Family Holy Hour, including children of all ages and temperaments. Many families are afraid to disrupt others with potentially fussy babies, but one of the best parts about Family Holy Hours is that everyone else will probably have a fussy baby too! We also provide small prayerful activities for our younger kids to help invite them into a personal time with the Lord (and so Mom and Dad can have that time for themselves as well).

Why Family Adoration Hour?
Adoration is simply a special time outside of Mass to show our love for Jesus, to Adore Him in the Eucharist – and allow Him to love us. The purpose of a Family Holy Hour is to welcome whole families and to help children learn to adore Christ in the Eucharist. This special prayer time with the Real Presence of Jesus can grow into a much-needed break from stress and anxiety and may become a lifelong prayer habit.
