Holy Family Parish
826 W. Central Avenue
Davidsonville, MD 21035

October, 14 2020

Dear Friends,

I wanted to thank you for your support to Holy Family Parish, our parish, in the last year.  This past year has been one where we have had a lot of extraordinary experiences, with the Covid-19 pandemic, then the quarantine, and our life in the midst of the pandemic ever since.

Despite all of this, I am very proud of our parish and thankful that our parishioners stepped up to support our continuing work in the parish in-person and also virtually.

We did end up last fiscal year, however, (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020) a little behind where we want to be, and are a little off where we want to be in the current fiscal year.

Because of that we are asking you to consider two things:  First, to sign up for our electronic giving.  You can sign up by  clicking here
https://membership.faithdirect.net/MD61.

If you don’t use a computer, please call Donna at the parish office at 301-261-7399 extension 35 to get help to do this change. You can end or change your faith direct giving at any time without any delays or waiting.

Second of all, we know that many people have been affected economically by Covid-19 and the quarantine, etc.  And if you are one of those people we don’t want to worry you with any request for funds at this time.

But if you are able to marginally increase your giving – maybe consider doing so at this time.  For while we try to be as frugal as possible here at the parish, costs do continue to rise each year for us in running the parish.

In the end, I do believe in the important work of a local parish.  And I do believe that what we do here at Holy Family has an impact on many people, so I ask you all of this sincerely and simply as a brother in Christ who is trying to move our parish forward to continue to do the work that has been given us to do.

Please also consider filling out and returning the enclosed flyer with ways you are inspired by our parish and why you choose to participate or visit www.opfaob.com/ to share your comments online.
God bless you and Peace!!

Fr. Andy Aaron
Pastor

If you prefer to tithe or donate online rather than in person, click the above link.  Thank you!

Many of you have asked how to continue your support while you are unable to attend Mass in person.
Holy Family uses Faith Direct to facilitate electronic giving directly to the parish accounts. If you are not already enrolled in Faith Direct you can use this link
https://membership.faithdirect.net/MD61  or use the link on the Holy Family website.
You can join Faith Direct, using the Holy Family code of MD61 and make a one time or recurring donation from either your checking account or credit card.  Options for giving include Offertory, Second Collection and special collections, such as Easter. Those of you who are already enrolled in Faith Direct can also use these links to increase your recurring donations if you believe that you are able to do this.

You can also send us your offertory through mailing them to Holy Family Church at P.O. Box 130 Davidsonville, MD 21035.
If you have questions you can contact Donna at office@hfccmail.org.

NEW:  Poor Box donations through Faith Direct is now available.  Help those in need in South County through Holy Family’s St. Vincent de Paul Society.  You can add a donation weekly or monthly by using this link:  https://membership.faithdirect.net/enroll/MD61 or a one-time donation can be made at https://membership.faithdirect.net/givenow/MD61.  Thank you for your continued support.

Offertory donations are essential for Holy Family’s parish operations.  We rely heavily on the Sunday offertory to maintain operational budgets, and fund staff positions and outreach activities in our community.
