The mission of this ministry is to promote and maintain a permanent relationship between the communities of Holy Family, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and Our Lady of Sorrows through mutual sharing of our time, talent, treasures, and trust in the daily living of our Christian values to assist the parish of Ste. Elizabeth d'Hongrie in Perodin, Haiti.
Parishioners are invited to take part by praying, sharing, and joining fundraising events throughout the year, such as Haiti Quilt Bingo, the Haiti Committee Crab Feast Raffle, and our biggest fundraiser the Annual Bull Roast. Come be part of this joyful mission and help strengthen our bonds with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Haiti Crab Feast Raffle & Quilt Winners 2025!

Congratulations to the 1st prize winner Ruth Sanchez-Way (OLOS Parishioner) who chose the crab feast and 2nd prize – Tom Gavan (OLPH Parishioner) winner of the crab quilt. We raised approximately $3,586 towards the feeding and education program for the children in Perodin, Haiti and a portion of the proceeds will also be used to fund the building of the second story classrooms as well. Truly the real winners of this fundraiser are the children in Haiti and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s support.

Highlights from Haiti Quilt Bingo 2025!

Thanks to the work of many Quilt Bingo Angels the 4th Annual Haiti Quilt Bingo was a huge success! It was a complete sellout and everyone that attended had a wonderful time. We raised a record total of $12,133 for the feeding and education program for the 509 students in Perodin, Haiti. The winner of the 50/50 coverall won a grand total of $1,185! In addition, the bake table raised a total of $628 for the OLPH Food Pantry – thanks to all that baked items. A special thank you to all our volunteers! We couldn't have done it without you!

Details about our Sister Parish
- Ste-Elizabeth de Hongrie, Perodin (Feast Day- November 17th).
- Situated in des CAHOS, Department of Artibonite, Diocese of Gonaives, Haiti.
- Pastor: Father Benoit Fleurissant
- Approximately 16,000 parishioners among main parish and 8 chapels located throughout the CAHOS. The chapels are overseen by trained leaders.
- The original church was built in 1950 by French from Briton. They remained at the parish for 37 years, forming over 47 catechists during that period.

How we support our Sister Parish in Perodin, Haiti
- Provide education for children in one of the poorest regions of Haiti.
- Supported by parish partnerships to help cover teacher salaries and basic supplies.
- Offer students not only academic learning but also faith formation.
- Give children hope for the future through access to education they might not otherwise receive.
Past Successes of the Haiti Committee
- Funded the construction and ongoing support of classrooms at the parish school.
- Helped provide meals for students, ensuring children can learn without hunger.
- Supported the parish community through medical and infrastructure projects.
- Hosted annual fundraisers (Haiti Quilt Bingo, Crab Feast Raffle, and the Annual Bull Roast) that directly benefit the parish in Pérodin.
- Fostered long-term relationships through parishioner visits and cultural exchange.
