Before his ordination, Fr. Paul Maillet was an accomplished concert pianist, trained at the Peabody Institute under Leon Fleisher and performing with orchestras around the world. After years of discernment, he stepped away from that career to follow a call to the priesthood—yet music has remained a vital part of his life and ministry.

This spring, Fr. Maillet returns to the piano at the Baltimore Basilica for a special concert featuring two of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s most powerful works:

Great Mass in C Minor
Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor
 
Performed by the Basilica Schola Cantorum and Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Samuel Rowe, this program offers both musical excellence and a powerful witness to the harmony between priesthood and the arts.
