Becoming Catholic
Are you interested in becoming Catholic?
The O.C.I.A. (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the process by which adults are brought into the Catholic Church.
Holy Family offers anyone interested in becoming Catholic an opportunity to explore the Catholic faith.
Our goal is to answer your questions pertaining to the faith and provide you with basic Catholic teachings, allowing each individual the freedom to determine whether God is calling you to deepen your relationship with Him through the Catholic Church. The process is unique to each candidate. We welcome you where you are in your faith and prepare you for full communion into the Catholic faith in a relaxed, pressure free environment.
If you have never been baptized and are considering baptism into the Catholic faith, or you have been baptized, but have not received the Sacrament of Eucharist, Reconciliation, and/or Catholic Confirmation, this process could be for you.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have, knowing that we are here to help you in any way we can.
O.C.I.A. Contact: Charles Burk at [email protected] or 443-223-2843.
For older children and youth, contact Dodie Seppi at [email protected] or 410-798-5680.
