Requirement
To enter the Confirmation 2021 program at Holy Family, the student should be in at least 9th grade and have been in a faith formation or Catholic school program in the previous year.  If this is not the case for your child, please contact Mr. Freiland about your child's situation.

Class Options
This year you may choose between a Monday evening session or a Tuesday evening session, both in-person and meeting every 3-4 weeks. (See schedule dates below).  The Tuesday evening session will also have a Zoom option for attendance.  For the smaller-group sessions (Sessions #4, 6, 8), you will be able to choose one of the dates via a Signup Genius or similar manner when we approach those session dates.  Please also note the required retreat scheduled for Friday-Sunday, Jan. 14-16, 2022 is at Camp Wabanna, Edgewater.

All meetings will run from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.  Sessions are scheduled to meet in Unity Hall, with the smaller groups in the Youth Room.

The Confirmation Mass
We are requesting a Spring date (May or June) for Confirmation 2022 from the Bishops’ Office.  The Sacrament of Confirmation will be at Holy Family this coming year.

More than one child
If you have more than one child for Confirmation, you should register them together. When you reach the question How many Candidates are you registering for Confirmation?, you may choose the number you are registering.

Volunteering
As you register, please consider how you and your gifts can help our Confirmation program this year.  The success and quality of the program depends on our parent (and other) volunteers offering their time and efforts in various ways.  Perhaps God is asking you to be a small group leader, or to help with the administration, technical, communications, or hospitality – or maybe you have other gifts to share?

Confirmation Fee
The Confirmation fee is $180 per student.  Financial assistance is available upon request.  We do not wish for financial concerns to prevent any student from participating.

We are accepting credit card, cash or check.  For credit card, payment can be made at the end of the online registration in Cognito via Square.  For cash, please go to the receptionist desk in the office of the church where you may receive a receipt. For checks, please make payable to "Holy Family Catholic Church" with "Confirmation" on the memo line.  Checks may be brought to Holy Family in the office, dropped off in our drop box outside the front entrance, or may be mailed to Holy Family Catholic Church, Attn: Youth Ministry, PO Box 130, Davidsonville, MD  21035.

Questions
Many other details of the Confirmation program will be taken up in later emails, flocknotes and the Parents’ Night, but you may address more immediate Confirmation questions to Mr. Freiland at youthministry@hfccmail.org.

We pray that this year may be a year of grace and blessing for our many Confirmation Candidates and their families.
