Matrimony
|
Congratulations on your engagement! If you’re preparing for marriage, we’re thrilled to walk with you as you begin this sacred and joyful journey. Your wedding day is just the beginning of a lifelong sacrament of grace, love, and unity in Christ.
The Sacrament of Matrimony is more than a ceremony—it’s a vocation. It is God who joins husband and wife together, and through this covenant, you become a living sign of Christ’s love in the world. “So they are no longer two but one. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.” — Matthew 19:6 (RSV-CE) Marriage preparation involves more than planning the day—it’s about preparing your hearts for the lifelong journey. You’ll receive guidance through a marriage prep program, help with necessary paperwork, and support in planning a beautiful liturgical celebration rooted in faith. To begin this process, we kindly ask that you contact the parish at least six months before your desired wedding date. This gives us time to accompany you fully and joyfully as you prepare to celebrate your sacrament. Call us, email us, or simply stop by the parish office—we would be honored to celebrate this holy step with you. Celebrate at Unity Hall

"Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends." — 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a |
