I. How is the Catholic Church doing? What should it keep doing? What should it stop doing?
1. Pope Francis:*Stop being equivocal on bigger issues such as homosexuality
*Our Pope is more in tune with the globalist progressive philosophy dominating the world than in preserving and proclaiming Catholic truth
*Pope Francis is the real deal – keep following him
2. Catholic Leaders:
*Educate society more on premarital sex and abortion
*Do not give in to social pressures
*Need to provide a strong moral leadership role in the pandemic
*Bishops need to stop pandering to woke liberals and speak truth, as it is given from God. How can Priest support gay marriage and women Priests?
*More workshops and seminars for Priests and Clergy
*They seem afraid to admonish so called Catholic Politicians who openly contradict Church teaching on abortion and sexuality
* The Catholic Church is losing relevance and its moral authority by not being fully accountable (sex abuse scandal)
* Should always stay away from politics
3. The Catholic Church: Need to Change
*Christian churches need to band together to fight the common enemy of apathy and indifference towards Christianity
*Promote Bible reading
*Women Priests and Deacons - (it is a feeling of exclusivity) – To claim that a woman can’t act in the person of Christ is bad logic
*Allow Priests to marry
*Worried about German Schism and how it will damage church
*Stop facilitating illegal immigration.
*The Church is in turmoil
*Ending abortion should be the #1 issue for Catholics
*The Catholic church is losing its young adults and particularly educate women
*Need to get rid of sexism – allowing women to become clergy
*Maintain every word of Catechism and do not bend to whims of culture/politics
*Can we reconsider how priests respond to confessions? After we confess is it helpful to recite a prayer over and over – or better to do something related to the confession – writing a letter, asking forgiveness of someone, etc.
*The Mass/Consecration is the central theme or our faith journey, it is well planned but sometimes dry of “emotion”
* We are losing touch with the young and young adults
4. The Catholic Church: Need to Keep the Same
* Stick to tradition -
*Its concern for the poor and Catholic Charities
*Church is being more transparent and addressing accusations against our Priests timelier and effectively,
*Do not fall into the secular trap of approving woman as priests of LBTG marriages in church.
*The church can do a better job speaking out about the very real dangers that communism, totalitarianism, and fascism present to the church.
*Our saints and their continued journeying with us
II. How is HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH doing
1. LEADERSHIP *Wonderful Pastor and Staff

* We should get an additional priest to help Father Mike – so we could have more masses
*Father Mike is so kind, inspiring and compassionate
*My faith was renewed here because of the people and the ministries
2. MASS *Learned a lot from Homilies in Mass
*Make Christmas mass more “special” – maybe a candlelit mass
*Live streaming is outstanding and upgraded equipment is a wise investment
*Contemporary mass seems to have a special spirit
*Have a Latin mass once a month
*More teaching masses
*Outdoor masses a plus
*Stop outdoor masses
*We need to try to determine the number of families still active in the parish
*Involve children more – like on Scout Sunday
3. PROGRAMS *Too many “Cliques” in ministries (people in ministries unlikely to let new members in)
*Great programs for spiritual education
*Adoration is a positive
*Prayer Teams is a positive
*Would like to see some Nuns teach or lead some programs
*Youth Ministry continues to be a challenge (current program disorganized and poor communication)
*Programs that teach Catholics why we believe what we believe
*We are here for Christ, not coffee, donuts, or programming

*More events for men and young adults
*Group for parents of children who no longer attend church
*Reconciliation during the week, like after daily mass
*Need someone to be active in social media and better webpage (broadcast hymns by Ron or Cont. Choir, daily messages from Father Mike or another ministry)
