Giving
Stewardship: Ways and Opportunities to Give

Give Now!
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
- Matthew 6:21

Update: We Recently Switched to a New Giving Platform

Picture
Thank you for your ongoing and faithful financial support for the mission of Holy Family Parish. After much research, we have chosen a new and better online electronic fund transfer service to receive your stewardship. The name of the company is Online Giving (See info on the company here: onlinegiving.org. This is company info only, not the link to set up your account.).

The benefits of Online Giving include the following:

  1. It is fully integrated with Ministry Platform, our parish data system. Faith Direct, our present electronic fund transfer company, cannot be integrated with Ministry Platform.

  2. Cost per transfer is lower than the cost charged by Faith Direct.

  3. Receipt of your stewardship within a couple of days of your individual giving rather than our parish receiving the combined parishioners’ contributions only twice per month.

  4. Online Giving is quicker and easier than Faith Direct and has security features such as simple text giving and fingerprint recognition.

Our account with Faith Direct has closed as of July 20, 2025.

If you have not switched to our new provider, we are happy to provide assistance: please email staff member Marilyn Moore at [email protected] or staff member Jean Phillips at [email protected]. You can also call the office at 410-269-0586.

Thank you for your stewardship to our Holy Family Parish!

How To Set Up New Account and Recurring Donations, with OnlineGiving.org

Sign up by visiting: https://holyfamilychurch.onlinegiving.org or click on the image of the logo below.
Picture

  • Have your credit card or bank account information ready (the fee for ACH debit giving is lower than credit card fee for the Parish).
  • Select the SIGN UP (bottom right) option to create your profile/account. You will set up a username, password OR cell# with a verification code sent.
  • Option to text giving: HFCC’s text # 240-269-2020 simply text “Give $” (ex:”Give 100”)

The following steps will prompt you to set up your new recurring giving:

  1. Enter the gift amount, and choose “Give Recurring”, then choose the fund and if doing multiple you will do one at a time.

  2. Choose gift frequency – there are several options.

  3. Complete the remaining information for your gift.

  4. Credit Card/Bank Account information (ACH giving has less fee to Church).

  5. Input your contact information.

  6. Choose the first process date for donation. This is your date going forward.

  7. After making your donation review your confirmation page, which also should be sent to your email, to ensure the frequency and amount of your gift is accurate.

  8. You can make changes and adjustments by going to “Profile”
If you have any questions or would like some assistance, please email staff member Marilyn Moore at [email protected] or staff member Jean Phillips at [email protected]. You can also call the office at 410-269-0586.

Celebratory Bricks at the Chapel
Celebratory Bricks at the Chapel:  Holy Family offers the opportunity to purchase a brick(s) in memory of a loved one or to celebrate a family achievement. Learn more about Celebratory Bricks.

IRA Distributions to Holy Family
PARISHIONERS 72 YEARS AND OLDER: Parishioners required to take distributions from their IRA accounts can gift directly to Holy Family. Being a recognized 501(c)(3) non profit, Holy Family can be the recipient of IRA distributions. Donors can gift up to 100% of their required minimum IRA distribution to their charity or charities of choice. The donation must be made directly to the qualified charity and Holy Family will acknowledge each charitable donation in writing as required by tax law. In lieu of paying taxes on your IRA distribution please consider making a charitable gift with the funds instead. You should of course consult your tax advisor before making a federally tax-free charitable distribution from your IRA.

Stock Donations
Donating appreciated stock is an efficient way to make a charitable gift. It’s easy and it saves the donor from paying capital gains taxes. If you itemize your deductions you are eligible to deduct the full fair market value of the stock, up to IRS limits. Effectively you’re able to contribute 20% more than if you sold the stock and paid capital gains taxes. Please contact the staff at [email protected] in the parish office for information on the process for doing this.

Give Up Your Envelopes

We invite you to help your parish save money by giving up your offertory envelopes. Enrolling with our online giving provider will provide Holy Family with consistent support and simplify your giving without the wasteful envelopes. If you change from envelopes to electronic giving through our online giving provider, please contact the office to cancel envelopes.
