Pastor's Message
September 24, 2023 - Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time
We introduced our revamped bulletin last Sunday. Several parishioners have told me how they like the new bulletin's format and the grouping of information and parish activities. I thank staff members Sara Baron, Jeanne Collins and Donna Wardrup for their collaboration of our redesigned bulletin.
Our Men’s Group T.M.I.Y., “This Man is You” met for the first time at 7am on Saturday, September 16th. As I gathered with them, I was impressed that there were 24 men in attendance for our inaugural meeting. The morning’s topic for discussion was leadership and how we as men can become better leaders in our families, workplaces and church. Join us every Saturday at 7am for coffee, donuts and conversation in Unity Hall (1/3) entering thru the Faith Formation Lobby. T.M.I.Y. concludes promptly at 8am so that everyone can get on with their Saturday. I invite the men of the parish to give T.M.I.Y. a try!
The Feast of St. Francis Assisi is on October 4th. In celebrating his Feast Day, we will have the annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 1 at 12:30 pm in the back parking lot. If you are planning to bring your pet to be blest, I would ask that dogs be brought on a leash and cats, rabbits and guinea pigs be transported in carriers. Suzie and I look forward to seeing you next Sunday!
